It is with both excitement and sadness that I announce my retirement. I plan to end my practice at the end of September, 2024. Thank you for your support and interest in working together over the years. Best wishes, Cheryl
"It's not that bad... it could be worse... others have it harder..." You've said that too many times and for too long. I can help. Some come to therapy in a time of crisis or to recover from trauma, and many others because it's time to stop feeling like "it's not that bad," and begin enjoying life again. Relationships can be improved and emotional states managed. I've seen it happen and I know it's possible for you. My practice in San Antonio, Texas specializes in the areas of women's issues, relationship issues, ADHD management, grief resolution, and parenting concerns. I also work with autistic adults who have been given a late-in-life diagnosis, as well as performing adult assessments for autism. My practice is LGBTQ+ friendly. I strive to see the harmful impact of white privilege and to be anti-racists in all settings. I went from my part-time practice to a full-time private practice after retiring from the public school setting in 2015. While a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology in San Antonio for 20 years, I worked with children and families through the department of Special Education, specializing in the areas of parenting skills, learning disabilities, Autism and behavioral disorders. I moved to Grand Junction, CO in 2022. I retain my Texas License and see only clients who live in Texas through zoom tele health sessions.
